Adorable DIY Fall Decor Ideas You Can Make in Minutes

I don’t have a recipe to share today, but I do have a simple, clever decorating tip. If you’re new here, you might have missed one of my favorite tricks for quick holiday décor. I first had this idea while shopping at Marshalls last December. Since then I’ve used the same approach for every holiday — it’s fast, affordable, and easy to customize.

Framing scrapbooking and card-making stickers for easy holiday décor. So simple and inexpensive — I love how they look on a mantel, shelf, or entry table.

What you need:

  • Frame or frames (any size)
  • Mat for the frame (scrapbook paper, fabric, patterned cardstock)
  • Stickers or die-cuts (seasonal themes work great)
  • Scissors for trimming

How to create a framed sticker display

  1. Choose a frame and remove the glass if you prefer a textured look; otherwise keep the glass for protection.
  2. Cut a piece of scrapbook paper or fabric to fit the mat area. This becomes the background for your stickers.
  3. Arrange your stickers on the mat. You can cluster several small stickers, use one large focal sticker, or create a themed collage.
  4. Once you’re happy with the layout, press the stickers in place. Trim any pieces that overlap or need adjusting.
  5. Reassemble the frame and display it on a shelf, mantel, or wall. It’s an easy swap for each holiday or season.
Voila! Cute fall décor in less than five minutes. This is a perfect last-minute project or a weekend craft that yields big visual impact.

This little owl came in a set of three from Marshalls — if I remember correctly, they were around $9.99. Whatever stickers or embellishments you choose, framed displays are a budget-friendly way to refresh your décor throughout the year.

More seasonal ideas and variations

  • Mix textures: use burlap or linen as a mat background for rustic fall appeal.
  • Layer stickers: overlap elements slightly to create depth and a custom collage look.
  • Use multiple frames: create a themed gallery wall with coordinating colors and shapes.
  • Add small accents: tiny felt leaves, ribbon, or paper banners can be attached to the mat for dimension.
  • Swap seasonally: change frames for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, or any occasion for easy updates.
